Take a look at the volunteer committee descriptions below to know which committee is your perfect fit. Please note there is limited availability, so don't delay registering! Committee assignments will be based on past experience, scheule availability, and need. 

Access Control
(Wednesday, March 29- Sunday, April 2)

The Access Control Committee will assist with checking credentials at key locations around course including corporate sky boxes an sky suites, Oyster Lounge, and Golf Channel Road. Those with good œcustomer service skills will make excellent committee members.

Caddie Hospitality- COMMITTEE FULL
(Monday, March 27- Sunday, April 2)

Prior to play, members of this committee will be asked to staff Caddie Registration. During tournament rounds, members of the Caddie Hospitality Committee will be responsible for distributing and collecting the caddie bibs and staffing the Caddie Hospitality tent.

(Monday, March 27- Sunday, April 2)

During the week of the MGRC, this committee will be responsible for the inventory, organization, charging, distribution, and collection of radios throughout the tournament.

(Monday, March 27- Sunday, April 2)

This committee manages the daily operation of the driving range and all other practice areas. Duties include sorting range balls by brand and placing appropriate nameplate to identify each player.

(Monday, March 27- Sunday, April 2)

This committee will be responsible for the control of all on-site cart inventory and distribution of golf carts to authorized personnel.

(Wednesday, March 29- Sunday, April 2)

Volunteers in this committee will serve as marshals throughout the course to ensure players are not disturbed during play and enforce crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators. Get inside-the-ropes with a prime view of the action!

(Thursday, March 30- Sunday, April 2)

Over 100 members of the local and national media will be in attendance for the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic. The Media Center Committee will work inside the Media Center and will assist with tasks such as making copies or scheduling player interviews.

Player Shuttles- COMMITTEE FULL
(Wednesday, March 29- Sunday, April 2)

This committee provides the tournament players with a ride from the clubhouse to the practice facility, as well as from green to the next tee on certain holes.

(Tuesday, March 28- Thursday, March 30)

Duties of this committee include gift bag assembly and distribution, as well as registration of amateur players.

Product Delivery
(Monday, March 27- Sunday, April 2)

This committee will be responsible for distributing coolers of refreshments to various areas of the golf course, replenishing those coolers throughout the day, and collecting them in the evening. Volunteer opportunities may be available the week prior to Tournament Week as well.  Heavy lifting is required. Good physical shape is needed for placement on this committee. 

Standard Bearers- COMMITTEE FULL
(Friday, March 31- Sunday, April 2)

Committee members are responsible for carrying a two-sided scoring standard, which is a portable status board, and for posting players' scores to keep spectators informed on how each player stands with respect to par. Junior Volunteers are eligible for this committee.

Tournament Office
(Monday March 20- Sunday, April 2)

Responsibilities to include assistance with answering phones, coordinating mailings and fulfilling general office and project needs prior to and throughout tournament week.

(Monday, March 20- Tuesday, April 5)

Receive, inventory and control issuance of courtesy cars. Meet players, officials and designated guests at airport and assist them with their transportation needs. Drive shuttle vehicles between hotels and course for players' family members, officials and designated guests. Must be over 25 years of age and have a valid driver's license.

Volunteer Headquarters
(Monday, March 27- Sunday, April 2)

Members of this committee will aid in check in at Volunteer Headquarters and helping maintain a hospitable and welcoming environment for our volunteers in VHQ.

Walking Scorers - COMMITTEE FULL
(Thursday, March 30- Sunday April, 2)

This committee will record accurate hole-by-hole information for each player in their group then transmit this information to Scoring Central via handheld computers. (Must have thorough knowledge of golf, be comfortable working with handheld computers, and be able to walk 18 holes of golf regardless of the weather.)

Welcome Center/Ticketing
(Thursday, March 30- Sunday, April 2)

Members of this committee will work with admissions and be actively involved in the œfirst impression for the tournament. Responsibilities will include greeting spectators as they arrive on-site, provide general information/daily spectator guides and working with sponsors inside the Fan Experience tent.
